The Amur Tiger

The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) is also known as the Amur tiger. This magnificent beast is pictured here at the Philadelphia Zoo. It is a protected species. World Wildlife Fund says there are no more than 500 of these tigers left in the wild. Want to know more? Watch 'Siberian Tigers' by David Attenborough
